It’s actually located in “East End” which means it’s only a couple miles away from our body shop. Our local YMCA has over eighty acres of active outdoor fun. It also has a pool and is a great place to bring the kids or throw a birthday party. If you’re looking for activities for your kids, look no further. The YMCA has a youth soccer league, there’s also kids fishing available during the summer day camps, or you can learn the basic fundamentals during a summer sports camp.
Ritter Park
Take in some of the beautiful natural scenery that is Huntington. Ritter Park is West Virginia’s premiere municipal park, and is 70 acres of pure beauty. Walk or jog along the paved path, let your littles run around the award winning playground, or grab a racket and play some tennis. Then take a relaxing stroll through the award winning rose garden, check out the 39 species of trees, and enjoy the outdoor amphitheater.
Rotary Park
Another hidden gem in East End is Rotary Park. It has over a hundred acres of hillsides, mountain vistas, hiking and biking trails, plus 2 disc golf courses, 2 softball fields, a basketball court, and even a brand new playground with picnic area. If you want to enjoy the outdoors, Rotary Park is a must see.
